Izzy is a beautiful short hair calico girl born October 2009. She is up to date on her shots and in perfect health. She lived as an only pet with a single woman in her 60?s. Just before Christmas her owner died and Izzy was traumatized by the arrival of the paramedics. Izzy is not a cuddly cat, but will sit quietly next to you and take treats from your hand. You can pet her for a while, but then she may grumble and try to swat your hand. Because of the swatting I would NOT place her with children. In foster care so far she does not seem to want to interact with other cats. We feel she should be the only pet for a single person. Izzy will need a kind patient owner. She comes with her own litter box and lots of toys and treats! She is a beautiful cat and deserves more than a foster home. Please call her fosters(931) 484-8643 to come meet Izzy or ask questions.

Transports leave Cookeville every Friday and arrive in the Northeast (PA, NJ, NY, CT, NH) on Saturday. Transportation is an additional $150 via P.E.T.S. LLC <http://www.petsllc.org/> (Peterson Express Transport Services). ABOUT A.A.R.F. - A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) <http://aarf-tn.com/> is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization. A.A.R.F. is comprised of un-paid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
