At 9 a.m. Tuesday, Maria Arrocha, 82, walked out of her family?s home in the 1800 block of Arbor Lane. More than 24 hours later, Arrocha, who has Alzheimer?s disease, remains missing in Arlington.

A Silver Alert was issued late Tuesday and police are continuing to canvas the area around the east Arlington neighborhood where Arrocha went missing. But temperatures are rapidly dipping ?? the high on Thursday is just 54 degrees ?? and authorities want to find Arrocha as quickly as they can.?

As such, Arlington police issued another alert Wednesday morning. Police have given postal workers flyers bearing Arrocha?s photograph. They were also given to hospitals, school bus drivers and nearby businesses.?

The Silver Alert means the electronic billboards along Interstates 30 and 20 display a photo of her. Authorities urge folks who live near E. Park Row Drive and New York Ave. to ?step outside and search around their homes, including backyards, garages and sheds.??

If anyone finds Arrocha, call Arlington police.?
